I'm sorry that my p
osts are far and very few between. Honestly, I'm a little addicted to facebook. But I'm getting better. My last post was way too long ago. I won't try and play too much catch up, but I will tell you all the kiddies are doing great and getting bigger. Maggie's in preschool and couldn't be happier. She loves her teacher and her cute little class. I went to her Halloween program and it was so dang cute! My usually shy Maggie had zero problems being in the front singing and hamming it up. She was Belle for Halloween and only trick or treated to maybe 5 houses and was done. I'm totally okay with that! Emma is in 2nd grade and loves it. Her teacher is awesome. I've been in her class and helping and can see why Emma enjoys her so much. She's absolutely darling with her class and so good with the parents. I got to go help in Emma's class for her Halloween party and had a lot of fun getting to know the other kids in her class and teasing them. Lance is also getting bigger. My baby is almost One! It kinda makes me sad. He's growing up so fast and knowing that he's my last I want it to really slow down! He's such a happy baby and so much fun to have around. He loves to wave and give high 5's right now. He's not walking and seems to have little desire to do so, but that's okay. We're already to the "walking the halls" stage at church. He thinks that the quiet during class is meant for him to yell and talk. It doesn't help that church starts at one and his nap time is 2:30. It's a little rough, but that's okay. He's still a keeper. Only 7 months until nursery. Hee..hee!
Nick recently signed us up for the gym and has been good to push me out the door. We can't go together, so we just take turns at night. It seems to work well. I decided to sign up for a 5k on Nov. 20th to give me some incentive to start running at the gym. I've enlisted Nick and my family. Unfortunately for me, there's a BYU game that day and it'd be cutting it too close for most of my family to do both. I understand, BYU football comes first. But I have Nick and probably Zach doing it with me still. Now I just need a babysitter for 8 am :) I usually run a mile to warm up at the gym, do my routine and then walk for a little on the treadmill again for a warm down. So this morning I decided that it's time to see how far I can run and what I need to do to get myself running the whole 5k. Yes, I know that a 5k is only 3.2 miles, but I've really only been going to the gym for a month. Before that, nothing. Happily, I did run the whole 3.2 miles without passing out or falling over. It for sure made me a very happy girl! Now let's see if I can do it in the chilly morning weather. I'll make a post after and let you know how I did.
Overall, our little family is doing great. Nothing especially crazy or fant
astic to report, but we're all very happy and healthy. What more can you ask for?? For the last month or so I've realized how truly happy I am. I have an amazing husband who is, no doubt, my best friend. We have so much fun together and I love that. He's a great dad and enjoys spending time with me and the kids. I have 2 beautiful and funny girls who keep me on my toes. And a very happy baby boy! I have a warm home that keeps me safe, I have food on the table, we can clothe our kids and keep them healthy and safe, and the Gospel. I can't think of anything else that I could possibly need to make me any happier than I am right now. Life is very good!
